Kazin flew from the grand hall after Sarah. It pained him deeply to see her be this upset, but he knew where she was comeing from. It was just moments ago that the final dissicion on who would wake Princess Elys had came down from King Granseal. It was of no surprise to Kazin or most of the force that it was their leader Bowie that would deliver the long awaited kiss. Kazin had rolled it over in his mind for the past five years on how cliche this intire event seem. Though it always came to him that their original mission was to help recover the King's daughter from the devils. He was soon surprised the gravity of their journey that coensided this seemingly minor task, when Elys was turned into a bargining chip for Zeon to try to reclaim his powers with. During the long adventure the force only grew larger as time went on. Everyone became freinds and very few, if any, arguments every took place. As well a small love triangle seemed to have formed among the members. Kazin knew he was one of the points, but he didn't care. Kazin's step only quickened as he thought of Sarah. The young elf found his quarry in minimal time. Sarah sat at the steps of her old school, crying and wheeping. It seemed almost as if she just couldn't hold it in any further and had to let it go. Kazin approached slowly, knowing that she would not really want to talk to anyone, takeing care that her feelings were very fragile. He slowly came up to Sarah. "I know how you feel about Bowie," Kazin stated bluntly. "Now, so does everybody. Does it really matter?" Sarah snapped as tears ran down her cheeks. Kazin took to steps back, remebering in the back of his mind how vicious she could get. Kazin cleared his throat, "Not really. You shouldn't be so cross Sarah." "And why not? The one I love has been elected to marry that...that...that airhead!" Sarah released a bit of pent up rage in a stomp on the ground. Kazin took another step backward. "Please, Sarah. There is no need to get angry. It's not like he jumped at the chance, and besides, you had your chance. You had six years to make your move, why are you so upset?" Sarah stared coldly at Kazin who seemed to shrink before the stare. He could feel his very will being crushed as she judged him now. Sarah sneared, "Why not? I never had a could time. He was always was busy fighting devils or doing something for sir Astral." "Sarah, you mean to tell me in all this time you never had even a moment to sit him down and tell him how you felt?" Kazin felt the pain of hipocricy in the back of his mind, but anything to make her feel the least bit better. "Yes, but you don't understand," Sarah recovered. At that moment an unneeded vistor arrived. Flying into veiw was the ever punctual Peter. Peter never knew good timeing, but his actions could be expected from the pompus bird. Kazin groaned in his mind as the orange winged messenger flew toward them. "Kazin, Sarah," Peter yelled, "I have great news!" "Not now Peter," Kazin whispered to himself as the bird touched down. "Bowie woke the princess! Elys is alive again!" Peter cheered, as Sarah and Kazin looked at him with almost fire expressions on their faces, "I take it this was the wrong time." Peter backed off slowly as Kazin reached out his hands to ring the birds neck. Sarah stepped infront of Kazin before he could grabhold. "Thank you Peter, and thank you Kazin for trying to cheer me up. Your a true friend, but I will never be over Bowie," Sarah scowled and walked off. Kazin turned and walked towards the rest of the town. Peter sat stareing at both of his friends. He had little idea what had just transpired and that Sarah even had feelings for Bowie. Kazin turned to give a final look at his bird friend, but as he turned he felt a pull on him as he felt himself go down. Peter flipped and flied back to the castle, Kazin was gone. ******* Kazin looked around. The cold wind of a winter blizzard chilled him to the bone. A dark cavern to the north his only refuge. He ran toward it, and he didn't stop till the darkness engulfed him.
